Migrating to Australia 22 years ago, I never imagined in my wildest dreams where the journey would take me. Especially when in 1996 I moved to Kangaroo Island to work for Australia’s largest regional airline and travel agency. I had heard and read all about Kangaroo Island but had never visited. What a surprise I was about to discover!
Life on Kangaroo Island was always full of adventure, idyllic scenery, exciting and never dull. Working closely with many tour operators . I was fortunate enough to gain a wealth of local knowledge not only about the “wildlife” but also how the island relies on the tourism industry. My local knowledge was always a great asset within the travel industry in Australia and now that I am “home in the UK” my hope is to be able to share this tapestry of knowledge with visitors to Kangaroo Island , so more people can enjoy the Island as much I did.

If and when you go on your trip to Australia you really need to allow yourself time to smell the roses. A MUST do is Kangaroo Island in South Australia. A small island which packs a big punch. A myriad of wildlife, rugged scenery , unspoilt beaches and bounty of locally produced food and wine.

A 10 day Safari in Kruger
Travelling through Kruger National Park was probably the most awe inspiring experience I have ever had. Early morning Game drives, viewing a pride of lions asleep in the road after a big night out,a herd of Water buffalos munching on the long grass,Giraffes with their elegant necks munching on breakfast from the top of the trees, Hippos wallowing in the river with only their eyes and ears visible.
